Product Line, Tattoo Aftercare
Midnight Ritual is a product line concept created for a tattoo aftercare company. The names of both the company and products are inspired by pagan/wiccan themes.
The Midnight Ritual brand was inspired by Hemlock Tattoo in Salem, MA. The studio’s aesthetic and branding inspired me to adopt the theme of this product line.
The color palette of the black, white and red was chosen to be a bold, high-contrast combination that would theoretically stand out on a store shelf. After observing other tattoo aftercare brands, this felt much different as many of them were minimal in color and often seemed almost pharmaceutical.
The illustration on the product containers was inspired by screen-printed illustrations. This was demonstrated in some of the products uneven spacing between elements to give it the handmade feeling.
