This print piece was created to advertise an event hosted by the Stonehill College chapter of AIGA. This project was commissioned by the college’s design group InHouse. The event had Stonehill alumni John McGowan speaking on his professional journey as a designer.

The first challenge was incorporating McGowan’s current work as an animator and motion designer into a 2D print piece. I chose to use a timeline for an animation of a running figure. The running figure’s design would progress into a full color design which was directly inspired by McGowan’s previous work. The colors used for the figure are then used on smaller decorative elements for cohesion.

The secondary challenge for this poster was making sure the most vital information about the event. The largest elements are the subject of the event, the speaker and the time and location.
